LG Shine Mobile Phone Review
Posted by admin on June 30, 2007 under UncategorizedLG Shine, launched in January 2007 is the part of the Black Label series. The LG KE970 is truly shiny and packs serious horsepower as well. This is certainly one of LG’s advanced handsets and can also be considered the most attractive as well.
It has microSD memory card sloth, a QVGA TFT Display and a 2MP camera with auto focus and a Schneider-Kreuznach lens. The most obvious feature in the LG KE970 Shine is the all metal design with a mirror finish display. It also has scroller navigation, and an office documents viewer.
In addition to the LG KE970 Shine, there is also a LG KU970 Shine that’s 3G-enabled. The KE970 Shine has managed to retain the ‘wow’ factor of the earlier handsets such as the Chocolate, while improving the functionality.
Although the LG KE970 Shine is not a large handset, with measurements of 99.8 x 50.6 x 13.8 mm, its all metal casing accounts for the substantial weight of 119 g. In spite of the weight, the handset manages not to feel heavy. In fact it feels solid.
The large 2.25-inch (240×320 pixels) display screen is hidden away beneath the mirrored face. The display is quite brilliant boasts 256K colours and graphics with rich detail. It’s easy to customize the backlighting time, brightness and the dialing font style, but the changes apply when the phone is opened. The menu interface is uncomplicated and very user friendly, and it comes in two different styles.
Other features which give Shine a positive ranking is the large photocall phone book with 50 call records, Bluetooth version 2.0 A2DP, and GPRS. It includes Java MIDP 2.0, - MP3/AAC , 3GP, and MPEG4 player, an organiser, voice memo, and document viewer.
The camera is 2 MP, 1600×1200 pixels, with autofocus, video(QCIF), and flash
The mirror finish design should be attractive to either men or women. This finish is the big selling point for the phone. The other features are satisfactory and are very suitable for a mid range phone.
Battery operation is rated at up to 280 hours of standby time with up to 3 hours.
